American Flyer Locomotive 21168 Parts List
This is the service bulletin furnished by the A. C. Gilbert Co. to authorized service stations to aid them in the service and repair of the American Flyer Locomotive 21168 Manual.
The American Flyer Locomotive 21168 was considered the American 4-4-0 type engine. The American Flyer Locomotive American 4-4-0 would have had 4 leading, 4 driving, and 0 trailing wheels. There were 9 other models of the American 4-4-0 produced by Gilbert.
The American Flyer 21168 Casey Jones 4-4-0 Locomotive and Tender consisted of molded black plastic with white lettering. It comes equipped with Pull-Mor traction tires on front and rear drivers, Casey Jones type motor, four-wheel pilot truck with inside sheet metal frame, chassis is sheet metal, smoke and choo-choo in boiler, and Pike-master trucks couplers.
There may be a different motor in the Old Timer/Franklin-Washington 4-4-0 locomotives, I don’t have one available to look at at the moment. The 0-6-0T locomotives may also have a different motor – again, no reference material at this time.
