American Flyer Locomotive 283 & 287 Parts List & Diagram
For one year only, the 287 version of this locomotive was offered. However, the 287 lacks smoke and choo-choo and was an effort to produce a low cost Pacific type locomotive for introductory sets.

I would like to know were I can but a body for my model 283 & .screws & how much it would be. I have had it a long time I think 1954.? thank Richard L . Butler
Try Portlines Hobby, Hobby Surplus Sales or Leventon’s Hobby Supply. Alternately do a search on ebay for the number 283 in S Scale trains – bodies show up there from time to time.
