Gilbert American Flyer trains and transformers enabled a multitude of different layout options. One of the more challenging ones to make work technically is the American Flyer Reverse Loop Layout. The challenge with wiring the reverse loop is that ultimately you create a short circuit on the power supply. To fix this you must change the polarity of the rails by using a fiber pin as described below.
