Gilbert produced the American Flyer Operating Log Car from 1953 to 1956. The car was designed to simulate a log car. The operator would pull the car up using a locomotive and would use a track clip and remote control button to activate the car. The car would then lift up and dump the contents into a rail yard. Originally the American Flyer Log Car 914 would have come with track clip, control button, logs, and log tray.
