American Flyer Log Car 914

Catalog Description

Here’s the car you’ll want for those logging operations in the “big timber” country. When you touch the remote control button the bottom tilts up, the sides lower and out spill the logs. Chassis is heavy die casting body and stakes are pressed steel. Automatic track section included. Car is equipped with railroad type Knuckle Couplers. 12″ long.

Gilbert produced the American Flyer Operating Log Car from 1953 to 1956. The car was designed to simulate a log car. The operator would pull the car up using a locomotive and would use a track clip and remote control button to activate the car. The car would then lift up and dump the contents into a rail yard. Originally the American Flyer Log Car 914 would have come with track clip, control button, logs, and log tray.
