This is the service bulletin furnished by the A. C. Gilbert Co. to authorized service stations to aid them in the service and repair of American Flyer equipment. Specifically, this bulletin is for the American Flyer Action Caboose 977.

Cabooses were included on every train in the United States until the 1980’s when the regulations were finally changed. These movable apartments were essentially specialized apartments for train crews who were required for switching trains and for looking out for the trains cargo and equipment.
