Gilbert produced the American Flyer Accessory 762 2 in 1 Whistle and cataloged it in the 1949 and 1950 catalogs. The whistle was unique as it featured two separate whistles with two buttons.
American Flyer Highway Flasher 760
In 1948 the crossing protection changed to the American Flyer Accessory 760 Automatic Highway Flasher from the 582 model. The 760 is a much more sturdy construction with a die cast base, metal vertical rod, crossbuck, and lamp housings.
American Flyer Crossing Gate 600 with Bell
This crossing gate was produced from 1954 to 1956. The next Gilbert American Flyer crossing gate in the series is the No. 600. It uses the same base as the 592A but adds a bell to the action. The bell is hidden in the hut.
American Flyer Animated Track Workers 594
The Gilbert AF Animated Track Gang 594 was built in 19XX. The accessory simulated workers repairing railroad tracks. The toy connects to the track and transformer via track clips.
American Flyer Bell Danger Signal 584
In 1946 and 1947 Gilbert American Flyer cataloged the American Flyer Accessory 584 Bell Danger Signal. These were a continuation of the pre war O gauge model. This incorporated a die cast metal ramp base for a roadway extending up to the top of the track.
